About

Rochelle Wilson is a Director who’s storytelling, centres and embraces the exploration of the unique, often untold stories of her mix of British and Caribbean cultures.

Her art and productions have explored gender, personal identity, love, loss and ancient African mythology. She loves new writing and strives to develop stories and visuals that merge imagination, character and identity.

Rochelle is also a Senior Clinical Perfusion Scientist and owes her critical thinking to her strong academic career and her calm demeanour to years working collaboratively with surgical teams to save lives in high pressured life determining circumstances.

She demonstrates her passion for collaboration, equity and social justice as a Cultural Coordinator™️ where she serves as an advocate, educator, liaison and mediator to ensure cultural equality throughout each stage of a theatre production process.

Rochelle has broad experience in the arts and has worked at the Young Vic, Soho Theatre, Theatre 503, National Opera Studio and Opera on location. The combination of her experience and talent saw her invited to be a panelist at the Laidlaw Foundations Business of Opera Summit in October 2024 where she contributed insightfully on the changes that the industry needed to enact to facilitate broader and more diverse engagement both on stage and off.
